First attempt at Open Canvas 4+ and I'm in love. lol. Although, it's somewhat difficult to use and so this piece was partially done in CS2. It's my second attempt at screentoning and my aim this time was for a somewhat edgy high-contrast effect. hint - the world is blatantly not black and white brush: [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes. thanks. open canvas is a paintshop program with the difference that it emulates tradional art better. it also has the option of changing pen tips and controlling, size, width, angle of the tip, which photoshop doesn't to my knowledge.
i got so obsessed with open canvas that i worked on this until i had like arthritic pains in my hand. lol. all the cool edges in the background and hair texture i attribute to open canvas's cool angled pens~~~!!! >_<!!!
